OSU's Athletic Leaders Turned a Blind Eye
Dr. Richard H. Strauss was the team doctor for over a dozen of Ohio State men's athletic teams, and a professor at the university. During his tenure, Ohio State required all male athletes to submit a physical by Dr. Strauss, before being allowed to compete in any sports related activity.
Dr. Strauss' alleged misconduct was an open secret in the locker rooms of OSU. His behavior with student athletes earned him the nickname "Dr. Jellypaws". In the span of two decades, student athletes spoke out about the doctor's behavior directly to a doctor at the student health center, the head coach of the wrestling team, and the OSU athletic director. The leaders at OSU did not take any action and left hundreds of young men exposed to sexual abuse.
If you visited Dr. Strauss' for a standard physical or exam, you may have been one of his countless victims. Please contact us to share your story and we will help find justice.
